Look at those knockers!!

Going through the streets of Florence, you can't help but notice the doors.  They are works of art!  Not like our Lowe's or Home Depot cookie cutout doors.  These are all handmade.  Plus, there are people who do nothing but clean doors.  If you lived in Florence, you would hire someone to keep your door cleaned and polished.  This explains why they all look so rich and warm. 

And on these fabulous doors are equally amazing knockers!  Some are simple:

Some are complex:

Some are angelic:

Some are devilish:

Some are whimsical:

Some are beautiful:

And some are just creepy:

But the one thing they have in common is that they are unique!  I can honestly say that I have not seen two that are alike.  And be they simple, complex, sweet or scary, you can't help but exclaim as you pass them by, "Wow!  Look at those knockers!!"
